The results of MAHE PHOTO AWARDS 2025 have been announced based on the judging of the pictures held on Sunday 7th September, 2025. We thank the 534 participants who have submitted 2162 pictures for the contest. Check Results Page for the winning images and participants. YPS Congratulates all the winners of the contest. MeghMalhar: A Tribute to Rain & Rhythm

"Where every drop composes a story..."

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) presents MeghMalhar, a national photography contest and exhibition celebrating the monsoon’s symphony—its visual poetry, cultural echoes, and the rhythm it brings to life.   This year’s edition also features a special category exclusively for MAHE students with the theme “My MAHE, My Campus”, inviting participants from all five campuses—Manipal, Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Jamshedpur, and Dubai—to capture the spirit, charm, and uniqueness of their university life and surroundings.

In collaboration with the Youth Photographic Society Bengaluru (YPS) and supported by MAHE’s Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC) and Manipal Institute of Social Sciences, Humanities & Arts (MISHA).

Objectives

  • Highlight the critical role of water and monsoon rains in sustaining life, biodiversity, and human society, underscoring the UN-recognised right to clean water as fundamental to human dignity and survival.
  • Engage students, enthusiasts, and the general public in creative expression, fostering environmental and cultural consciousness.
  • Establish an annual tradition that positions MISHA and MAHE as thought leaders in arts, sustainability, and education.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Picture size requirements:
    • The Maximum Size for the longer side is 1920 pixels.
    • The Minimum Size for the longer side is 1080 pixels. Any picture less than this size will be rejected.
  2. Any Travel picture clicked on any camera and not AI Generated.
  3. At the time of uploading, specify the location in the box provided.
  4. Editing techniques must be in compliance with the commonly accepted Travel photography guidelines.
  5. The contest is open to photo enthusiasts from all over India.
  6. If your photo is shortlisted, digital photo with a minimum size of 12 inches x 18 inches need to be sent by email before the announcement of results. Before uploading your pictures in this contest, please ensure that this requirement is met.

Simple Steps to Participate

Step 1 - Register your details if you are participating in the contest for the first time. If you are already registered, you can directly go for Upload.

Step 2 - Upload your images. Enter your registered Email and Password, if requested, to login. You can upload one picture at a time. Thumbnails of your uploaded pictures will be shown on the right side. After submitting the maximum allowed number of pictures, you will not be allowed to upload any pictures.

Substituting an Uploaded Picture - If you want to change any picture already submitted, click on the icon below the picture that you want to substitute. This will remove that picture from your list and you will be allowed to upload another picture.
